Your First Appointment

Your first visit will be a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, where we take the time to get to know you—or your child—beyond the symptoms. We’ll discuss:

  • Current concerns and goals for treatment
  • Medical, developmental, educational, and family history
  • Previous mental health treatment or medications
  • Strengths, interests, and daily functioning

We’ll also review any relevant records (such as school reports, psychological testing, or prior treatment notes) to ensure we have the full picture.

After this evaluation, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

Ongoing Care

Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, adjusting medications when appropriate, and addressing new or ongoing challenges. We aim for care that is:

  • Collaborative – You are an active partner in every decision.
  • Individualized – Treatment is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
  • Comprehensive – We coordinate with therapists, schools, and other medical professionals when helpful.
  • Supportive – Every session takes place in a judgment-free telehealth space, grounded in compassion and understanding.

Our Approach & Commitment

With over 20 years of experience, we believe effective care blends clinical expertise, real-world practicality, and genuine connection. We value humor, warmth, and authenticity because improving mental health isn’t just about managing symptoms, it’s about improving quality of life.

At Becks Behavioral Health, you can expect care that is:

  • Respectful and confidential
  • Evidence-based yet flexible
  • Rooted in empathy and experience
  • Focused on helping you or your child thrive—not just cope

Collaboration and Advocacy

We often work closely with:

  • Schools to support learning and behavior plans
  • Primary care providers and therapists to ensure continuity of care
  • Families to help translate progress at home and in daily life

When needed, we also provide referrals to therapists, medical professionals, support groups, or substance abuse programs.
